Diegetic Sound
In this project I used the DJ Mic 2 for capturing sound. The audio originating from the scene, like footsteps and dialogue of actors from the source itself The compact wireless design and high quality sound of this device were extremely beneficial During the process of creating detailed and clear audio with the DJ Mic 2 I was able to craft lifelike sound environments, for the movie bringing an experience to each scene and immersing the audience further
Furthermore this microphone was very adaptable and user friendly. Its wireless functionality allowed performers to move around freely without the inconvenience of cables making it particularly beneficial, for preserving an atmosphere during scenes. Moreover' the noise cancelation feature of the DJI Mic 2 guaranteed quality even in challenging environments like on a set, with running fans.This tool not improved the quality, for me but also saved time when syncing during post production phase of the film project.
Non Diegetic Sound
I used this mic to capture effects such as background music, bass or rhythm to add emotional depth to the scenes. Or record but re-record the noise or slap to recreate the sound in the video because sometimes the sound when recording is quite small, so when I get home I often can't edit much to create more feeling. Using the Shure MV7 Plus also helps me to perform voice-overs clearly and smoothly, highlighting the story of the film. The Shure MV7 Plus mic, with its ability to record clear, detailed sound and integrated sound adjustment technology, is a tool that I think is very suitable for capturing sounds such as background music or sound effects that do not appear directly in the scene. Thanks to the ability to eliminate ambient noise, the mic helps me record clean, professional sound, ensuring the harmony between audio and visual elements.
I created a Spotify playlist of the music I envisioned for the film. I thought it would fit the initial tone of the friendship. I chose mostly music that wouldn’t be too scary because the film was more psychological and I thought it would sound a bit dreamy between friends. The playlist is a mix of the soundtrack that will be used in the final film, inspirational tracks that helped me during the writing stage, and tracks to play during filming.
Final Soundtrack
This song has a dreamy, deep atmosphere, suitable for expressing moments of nostalgia, intimacy or uncertain mood between characters. With its gentle but no less dark melody, Swim creates a feeling of both closeness and distance, an important element in expressing the complex relationship in the friendship in the film's setting. It helps the audience feel the nostalgia and insecurity hidden beneath the emotional surface of the story.
This is the song I use to highlight tension, confrontation, or key moments in the climax of the film. The warm and slightly eerie melody of Love Shine adds emotional depth, especially in scenes that contrast friendship and separation. It also reflects the inner conflict of the characters, thus contributing to the atmosphere that is both touching and terrifying.

During the production of the film, I used my creativity to recreate the characteristic sound of a film reel being pulled out. Instead of using real sounds, I took advantage of available items such as sandpaper or tape rolls, pulling them slowly to create a similar sound. Then, I used the Shure MV7 Plus microphone to record this sound with the best quality.The Shure MV7 Plus microphone, with its detailed recording and noise cancellation capabilities, helped me reproduce the sound realistically and clearly. This process not only brought special sound effects but also saved time and money instead of having to use specialized tools. As a result, the sound of the film reel became alive and contributed to the authenticity and mystery of the film, especially in scenes with suspense or related to the past.
